Celo Season 1 Program Guide

The Celo ecosystem, built around the Celo Ethereum L2 blockchain, has seen significant growth in both users and applications, consistently ranking among the top 5 most used EVM blockchains.

One of the elements that makes Celo unique is its strong and diverse network of support programs, most of which are operated by independent ecosystem members.

As part of Celo Season 1, which runs from June to December 2025, numerous programs have launched to accelerate builders and project founders. With so many programs available, it can be challenging to find the right fit—so we’ve created this guide to help you identify the best opportunities in Q4 2025.

Active Programs for Builders

1. Proof of Ship - Visit Program Page

• What it is: A monthly program where builders demonstrate their onchain impact to earn rewards.
• Who is it for? Early-stage projects (MVP) that are new to the Celo ecosystem or are still preparing for their formal go-to-market moment. 
• Why join: Build your onchain reputation, earn monthly cUSD rewards, and gain visibility across the Celo ecosystem.

2. Proof of Impact - Visit Program Page

• What it is: A fully onchain reward program operated together with Divvi offering a streamlined and transparent system to reward apps based on the gas fees their users generate.
• Who is it for? Projects that are live on Celo Mainnet and are at least Stage 1 (post-MVP) or higher, measured by unique users and transactions. If your project doesn't yet have at least 100 users per month, Proof of Ship is likely the better fit.
• Why join: Earn CELO and OP rewards based on your onchain impact

3. Support Streams - Visit Program Page

• What it is: Monthly incentive rewards distributed to protocols on Celo via stCELO votes in the CeloPG Snapshot space.‍
• Who is it for? Protocols on Celo that have a plan to distribute at least 80% of the CELO received to users as incentives
• ‍Why join: Receive monthly CELO incentive budgets by submitting a plan to distribute at least 80% of the CELO received to users as incentives.

4. Prezenti Peach Round - Visit Program Page

• What it is: Milestone-based grants for the Celo community
• ‍Who is it for? Mid to late stage Projects, with at least a couple thousand users that are working towards specific development milestones that will drive growth on Celo and need funding to achieve them.‍
• Why join: Receive milestone-based grant funding to support your project's growth on Celo.
  

5. Gitcoin Grants 24 - Visit Program Page

• What it is: A strategic shift in Gitcoin’s funding model under the “Gitcoin 3.0” framework, emphasizing network-first coordination, plural funding mechanisms, and structured sensemaking.
• Who is it for: Projects that align with the themes of the various rounds, such as Ethereum Developer Tooling, Public Goods Tooling Development, Mechanism Design for Public Goods, and more. Visit the Gitcoin Grants 24 page for a complete overview and to apply.
• Why join: Access grant funding and support from one of the 9 specialized round.

6. Mini App Mondays - Visit Program Page

• What it is: A weekly showcase highlighting the most exciting mini apps on Celo.
• ‍Who is it for? Developers building mini apps who want to showcase their work and gain recognition.‍
• Why join: Increase your project’s visibility, reiceve deplotment and support resources, and attract attention from the broader ecosystem.

7. Celo Builder Fund - Visit Program Page

• What it is: A program offering investments to projects building on Celo.
• ‍Who is it for? Projects seeking funding to support development and growth.‍
• Why join: Receive a $25,000 investment per project, with potential additional funding from Verda Ventures.
